Running those numbers for the cheaper printer vs. the Ultimaker S5 gave a shocking result: over a 3-year lifecycle, the cheaper option cost 37% more than the S5 when all factors were included. The 'savings' I was so proud of turned into a net loss of nearly $2,300 per year.

The Lesson That Changed My Procurement Approach
